Company History:

1793

Master wheelwright Johannes Baumeister sets up his own craftsman business in the old part of Rottweil. This business is later converted into a locksmith’s which builds, among other things, small turbines.

1860

The company starts producing domestic appliances such as stoves, hearths and ovens.

1908

The family applies to the patent office in Munich for a low-temperature curing cabinet.

1928

Purchase of sheet metal working machines for the production of stove pipes and stove pipe bends. The sales area soon grows beyond the boundaries of the Rottweil district, eventually covering the entire region of south Baden and south Wuerttemberg.

1950

A new building is erected which extends the old factory space by more than 150 square metres.

1963

After taking his degree in engineering (he graduated from a technical college), Rolf Baumeister enters his father’s business and starts producing ventilation ducts.

1975

A new building for offices and manufacturing premises is built in the Saline industrial park. The company now has more than 800 square metres of factory space and employs 8 staff.

1976

The company starts to design and construct ventilation and waste air systems. The number of employees grows steadily.

1986

The company begins to focus on clean-room technology and sets up a department for control engineering and customer services which undertakes set-up, customer support and fault-clearing services. The number of employees continues to rise. Baumeister Wärmetechnik GmbH becomes one of the leading companies in the field of ventilation and air-conditioning in Southwest Germany.

1988

The production and office space is doubled by an extension of the already existing factory building.

1992

Baumeister Wärmetechnik GmbH employs more than 60 employees in the areas of design, manufacture and plant engineering. The company constantly trains new employees.

1995

The management decides to introduce quality management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001

1996

The company is awarded the certificate for the introduction of QMS by the Technical Inspection Authority (TÜV) - CERT Rhineland.

1997

Dirk Baumeister joins the management team of Baumeister Wärmetechnik GmbH.

1998

The production floor is extended by another 400 square metres to a total area of over 2000 square metres. In addition, a new and fully automatic duct line is built for the manufacture of straight ducts.

1999

Rolf Baumeister hands over management of the firm to his son Dirk.

2000

Re-certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 by GLOBAL - CERT

2001

The company’s turnover reaches the threshold of 19 million for the first time since 1992.

2001

Joint owner and former boss Rolf Baumeister begins his well-deserved retirement in December 2001.

2002

The company’s duct manufacture becomes even more flexible due to the purchase of a new folding machine (3.2m).
